Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary in St. Pauls, North Carolina is an outstanding non-profit organization whose dedicated volunteers do exceptional work, taking in and caring for hundreds of cats who are injured, sick or have been abandoned, many of whom are about to be euthanized. These cats typically have blindness or severely limited eyesight, feline leukemia or feline immunodeficiency virus and are thus often ignored and forgotten by the general public. I have interacted with the personnel at Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary for many years and find their staff extremely cordial, honest and very helpful in dealing with conditions our own cats have suffered. Their team- led for many years by Alana Miller- goes far out of their way to take in, care for and rehabilitate cats who would almost certainly have died without their help. I consider the team at Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary to be exceptionally kind, truly "Angels of Goodwill" for animals who need our help. I am personally a supporter of this organization and highly recommend them for consideration for a grant. I have great respect for the team there and consider them to be of the highest caliber.
