I have been donating to First Nations Development Institute for decades. Initially I gave to them to help small Native entrepreneurs, but later I learned from federal research that lack of access to Capital was the biggest hurdle to Native advancement and housing, a large factor in generational wealth. I have increased my giving to them as I have learned more about them, including their seeding of Oweesta to invest in Native communities.
