Hi, over ten years ago my family decided “no more silly Xmas presents”, instead we would give a donation to charities chosen by the family. These ranged from Tigers, to Whales, and three others. I chose the World Parrot Trust and I’m so pleased I did, not only because it was the only charity to stay in touch after that initial year but I’ve found out so much about the work of the charity world wide. They have so many partnerships in areas where parrots need conservation support, they do great work with the many parrots seized as a result of illegal trading, they raise funds for areas important for parrots that get hit by hurricanes and natural disasters and also find space for companion bird support, help and advice. The World Parrot Trust deserves so much credit for the work it does in so many spheres of parrot welfare worldwide.
