Sanctuary for abused, exploited and at risk animals is the priority at TWAS. But when The Wild Horse Refuge opened last year, a whole new chapter emerged. Saving wild mustangs, rounded up from their federally protected herd areas. Trucked away to holding and an uncertain future. We watched in disbelief and helplessness as these iconic treasures disappeared from the public land. Only to have them turn up in kill pens across the country. Or trucked off to Mexico for slaughter. Now, through the efforts of TWAS, some of these amazing horses are living their best life ever. I am so grateful to them for helping with so many mustangs that had no other options, no place to go. Thanking Pat and Monica for their devotion and support for all the animals. The work being done to protect endangered animals is essential. Being a supporter of this mission is my highest priority. And one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Will always continue to promote and support this organization.
