I just started working with the Sandy Hook Promise a few months ago.
As a Sandy Hook Promise Leader Volunteer, I learned that the mission of Sandy Hook Promise is to “educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities”
There are various courses that can be used to help the administration, teachers, and students learn what the Sandy Hook Promise is all about, one of which is to “know the signs”.
I have been in touch with a local school district and the Superintendent responded right away! I will be working with a counselor who works with the students.
I am very excited to work with the Sandy Hook Promise program so I can help making the Sandy Hook Mission become a reality.
