I moved to the Wylie area a couple of years ago to live with my sister. Prior to my first visit to the area I went on line to see what I could find out about what Wylie had to offer in terms of opportunity. One of the first things I came upon was info regarding an exotic cats rescue sanctuary called In-Sync which was located near Wylie. That sounded very interesting to me and I decided to make it a priority to check it out once I had arrived. On my first visit to In-Sync I was very impressed with how well constructed, well maintained and seemingly well conceived the whole place was. I came away from that first visit feeling totally excited and enthusiastic about the opportunity for becoming involved with the care and maintenance of the facility and the cats as a volunteer. I started volunteering immediately after re-locating and have been at it for over 2 years now. It's like a childhood fantasy come true working with and around the cats. I am constantly amazed that I just moved down here and discovered this rare and very interesting opportunity to do something right in my backyard. The amazing thing is that I have met people who have lived in the area for years who have never visited or in some cases never even heard of the place -- mind-blowing. Oh yes, I can testify that on a first hand basis that all of our cats are happy cats.
