All birds are of interest and many need protection. Parrots, however, are threatened by climate change and loss of habit, but parrots face the additional threat of poaching for the domestic and international pet trade. World Parrot Trust has a Lazor-like focus on protecting parrots, in particular, while supporting aviculture and the welfare of parrots in our homes. WPT finds the right partners in the home ranges of parrots to facilitate their survival and protection of their habitat, while educating their membership in their excellent publication, "PSITTASCENE" and on their website. Parrots are some of the most sentient beings among all wildlife, and therefore we, World Parrot Trust and pet owners, relate to them as their guardians for their future.
