The Able Flight program is truly life-changing. As a flight instructor, I had the privilege of working with students who overcame immense challenges to achieve their dreams of becoming pilots. The program provides paraplegic individuals with the opportunity to learn to fly through a scholarship-based initiative, offering tailored training that opens up the skies to those who might otherwise be limited in their pursuits.

Seeing the determination and resilience of these students, many of whom faced life-altering events, was incredibly inspiring. The program’s partnership with Purdue University and Southern Illinois University combined with the support of organizations like EAA, ensures students receive top-notch instruction and training in an environment that understands their unique needs. It was an honor to be part of this mission, and I can confidently say that Able Flight is making a lasting impact not just in the aviation community but in the lives of every participant.
