I can't say enough great things about the Green Beret Foundation and what they do for the community. I was lucky enough to be involved in the PLL Stars & Stripes Classic lacrosse game between the GBF and the NSF. Not only did they cover all of our travel, and give us all the lacrosse equipment we needed, there was a level of support that I never could have expected. There was nothing we could have asked for that they wouldn't have jumped through hoops to provide us with. I can't describe the feeling of community that they fostered for the players and our families that I've truly missed since separating from the Army and being out in the "real world". They set the tone for an exhilarating weekend that made me feel so energized, combining the tight bond of being on a team with the excitement of competing on the lacrosse field again. Not only did the take care of the players, but they set up events that included our families, and even provided free child care for all of us for a team dinner the night prior to the game. This is a top-notch and VERY well run organization that does more than the community it supports could hope for.
