On October 30, 2023, I was matched with an Assistance Dog/Service Dog trained by PAALS. We have been a team for almost 1 year now. There are not enough words to share the way my Service Dog has positively impacted my life. I will say that the PAALS method of dog training is 100% positive and conforms to the natural qualities already present in the dog. I also appreciate how PAALS staff all work together - they are truly a team model of "all hands on deck" in fundraising events, care for the dogs, applications from new clients, and ongoing guidance for current clients such as myself. I touch base at least monthly with my PAALS liaison - and truly more often. I need support in a wide variety of scenarios that occur in "real life" living with my Service Dog. Finally, it has been my pleasure to have met in-person with volunteers and donors to demonstrate and affirm PAALS committment to provide professionally trained and Assistance Dog International certified Service Dogs. Thank you PAALS - you are a top-notch non-profit organization.
