I am a retired green beret, amputee and wheelchair user. A very poorly run nonprofit organization came to my house to build a wheelchair ramp and make my bathroom wheelchair accessible. After 23 months of delays, lies and still not able to get into my shower from the wheelchair and no wheelchair ramp I had to tell them to get lost for my own sanity. One of my friends knew what I had been through and told the Green Beret Foundation what was going on. Within a few months they had hired a company owned by a disabled veteran to complete the work. Thanks to the GBF i can access my whole house in a wheelchair and the process was as painless as it should have been in the first place. I cannot express how much I appreciate the GBF for doing this. It completely changed my life being able to get out and do things on days that I can’t walk. They truly deserve all good things that come their way. Thank you, GBF!
