I know someone who used to work here and I was surprised to learn this org is actually biased against Muslims internally especially politically. Also the CEO is a loudmouth and turns out she is not an attorney ( but I thought she made it sound like she was their boss at the event I was at.) but if I look back she clearly knew nothing about the law. They fundraise using Gaza and the nakba but they don’t actually do any work regarding Palestinian humanitarian efforts, that is shameless. They could just fundraise on what they actually do. At their main events they don’t even talk about their work. It’s strange.
From the website it looks like most of their employees aren’t lawyers, they are fundraisers and marketers. Even their board, none of them have any experience in what they are supposed to be experts in. I feel bad for my friend who worked there and worse for the good non-white attorneys who still work there.
Before you give here, talk to someone who used to work there. Current employees probably cannot say much. I’m giving two stars because some of the attorneys there are very good.
