Hi! We are Jim & Kim Ledingham. I want to tell you a little bit about our first experience with MBI (Mission Builders International). My husband & I both recently retired and became brand new owners of an RV. Back story....on our first date, 22 years ago we shared with each other our belief that when we 'retired' we both had a hearts desire to serve. We talked about an RV at that time & traveling with some ministry to do volunteer work. Our time has come! Jim was unfamiliar with MBI, so we choose Lakeside, Montana & MBI headquarters because we were able to volunteer for a single week. It was life changing! The job that was assigned to us was perfect for us to be able to start this journey serving together. It was a full week of work & we painted a large hallway in one of the staff residences. Not only did the job fit us perfectly, but the staff was incredibly helpful & available. The appreciation shown to us by the residents of the building we worked in was unsurpassed, they showered us with their gratitude and we were humbled by it. The camaraderie with the other volunteers was life-giving. For one week, we were a part of a community of believers and humbled by their welcoming acceptance of us two feeble feeling retirees! We are looking forward to serving extensively in the future with MBI. That week was a turning point for Jim, and I couldn't be more thrilled to serve full-time missionaries in whatever tasks the Lord leads us to. Thank you to MBI for the opportunities available and prayers for many more to recognize that as retirees we still have a lot of life to share and there is much work to be done.
