Review for Tri County Humane Society, Boca Raton, FL, USA
Tri County Humane Society rescued my Sophie (formerly named Shirley), a 4 year old "poodle mix" who was actually a mix of 75% Havanese and 25% Maltese, in 2018 from an animal shelter in Houston, Texas. She was surrendered by a hoarder along with at least one other dog. Both were up for adoption after six weeks of medical treatment and loving care. Sophie was at the groomer when my friend and I arrived at opening time. We were interviewed and told about Sophie's background and follow-up medical treatments. Sophie had tested positive for heartworms and would need months of treatment for that and then she would need to be spayed. Tri County Humane Society would take care of all of this. At each follow-up appointment, Sophie was welcomed back and thoroughly examined. Thanks to Tri County Humane Society, Sophie was given a chance to live and thrive. She is one of many that have been saved by Tri County Humane Society. This wonderful organization takes in pets in need of medical treatment and care and gives them all they can possibly give. They also run a medical clinic, the Lois Pope Pet Clinic, for pets Tri County rescues and for the South Florida community. I follow them on Facebook (Tri-County Humane) each morning for a dose of humanity. There you can see the pets who are adopted and the pets in need. Many thanks to Tri County Humane Society for saving Sophie who brings joy to all who know her.
