We were early supporters of Ceres’ mission to provide nutrient-dense food to homebound people with illness and few resources Ceres also teaches teens to cook fresh organic food that they also help grow and deliver to their client base. Their ability to fund-raise and adapt the kitchens and staff when demand increased because of the pandemic was remarkable. Ceres’ lean leadership team also successfully persuaded the CA legislature to adopt food as medicine rules for Medicaid. in addition to our annual pledge, we are also committing to their remarkably successful capital campaign, which is building a spacious modern kitchen and vegetable gardens in a community that needs them very much. We have faith in Ceres’ capability to be an effective and nimble organization and contributor to their increasing geographic area.
