The volunteer-based Concern Foundation is amazing in its strong ongoing support of cancer research! It does so in many different ways. The ones I am most familiar with being their grant awards to cancer researchers, especially those doing laboratory research and their support of education of young promising students doing summer research in cancer, who are the future cancer researchers. They also directly support patients and families in things such as making a Beauty Bus available for families, having the President of Concern distribute Christmas gifts to pediatric patients, and other events. Their annual Block Party is an awesome and carefully-orchestrated event to which thousands flock every year. The driving force behind the Concern Foundation is a group of dedicated volunteers, who make everything happen. They are great!
