Review for Save A Forgotten Equine, Redmond, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Wow, I can't say enough good things about these folks. Perhaps a list would be a good place to start.
* dedicated
* hard working
* careful with their money
* help the community by taking in horses in need
* support the community by letting 4-h kids use their riding arena
* support students learning to be vet techs by allowing them to work on their horses for dentals and exams with a teacher
* Jaime is incredible with the hours she donates- including being with horses 24/7 when they are foaling or ill
* horses are seen by a vet when needed
* horses are well fed, at good weights, and always have clean water and shelter. They wear well fitting, clean blankets in the colder weather. Blankets are removed periodicaaly to check the horses' progress and weight.
*horses receive farrier care

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

rehabbing malnourished and severely neglected horses. * hearing about and seeing pictures of these poor horses is nothing to seeing one arrive at the barn * seen the lice * seen the careful feeding of malnourished horses - lots of small feedings with appropriate hay * seen the depression/sadness in their eyes * seen them slowly gain weight * seen the dead hair fall out and grow in healthy * seen the training they get * seen the love the volunteers pour into these horses * seen tours for new volunteers

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give them more money to do even more great things.

Role:  Volunteer & I cleaned stalls and paddocks, groomed horses, fed carrots, and loved them. .
