Review for Faces of Courage Foundation, Tampa, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Im am happy to write a review of Peggie and her Faces of Courage. I met peggie during my chemo treatments in 2005. I was very quiet about my cancer diagnosis then I met Peggie. Look out! She really does make it fun. She told me about her camp and I thought how wonderful that would be but I also thought it was too good to be true. She then told me about the Breast Cancer Gallery and asked if I'd be a model for it. I thought she was out of this world. I finally decided to do it. I thought it was one of the best things I could have done. I then was able to attend her women's camp that September. Well, needless to say it really was so well planned and so much fun. I met so many wonderful new friends who I look forward to seeing every year. Since then I've volunteered for many of her events so that she can raise enough money to let others attend her events. Luckily I was able to join her on her Pink Polka Dot tour of 2007'. I met some very incredible people and had a very wonderful experience that I will always remember. Thank you Peggie. I will always do whatever I can and volunteer whenever I can for Peggie. She's a great lady, friend, and co-survivor.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Many new happy relieved faces.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to communicate more with each one.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Getting to see friends made through this organization. And Relaxation.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Well beyond going out of their way for everyone.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Put smiles on everyone's faces.

Ways to make it better...

I don't think my experience could have been better.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Raising money.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Is it September yet?

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2008

Role:  Client Served & I helped put together the Hi-Tea/Fashion show. Drove the van on the Polka Dot Tour.
