Review for Peninsula Bridge, San Mateo, CA, USA
Peninsula Bridge has been instrumental in shaping who I am today by providing me with the skills, experiences and mentors that have profoundly influenced my personal and professional growth. I joined Peninsula Bridge's High School Academy Class of 2018 (the first high school PB class to graduate from college!) after my junior year of high school, unlike most of my peers who joined in 3rd grade. Although I joined Peninsula Bridge late, two of my advisors made me feel welcomed since the beginning. They both played a crucial role in helping me understand the college application process and the complexities of applying for financial aid. I wouldn't have been able to attend my dream college without their immense support.
While in college, Peninsula Bridge continued to provide support with their College Success Program. They helped me navigate the ups and downs of being a first-gen college student and were always there to encourage me along the way. Through Peninsula Bridge, I also had the opportunity to visit different companies and ask professionals about their career paths, resume writing tips and how to conduct informational interviews. This exposure allowed me to figure out what I wanted to study and what career I wanted to pursue.
Lastly, thanks to the strong connections and supportive network cultivated through Peninsula Bridge, I was able to land a job just 2 months after graduating from college at a biotech company in the Bay Area. To this day, Peninsula Bridge continues to support my professional and personal growth and I will forever be grateful for the lasting impact this program and the people at this program have made in my life.
