Review for Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society, Gig Harbor, WA, USA
We are so impressed with the new museum in Gig Harbor! The permanent exhibits are interesting and engaging and convey the history and our connection to this place. There's plenty of room for temporary exhibits as well and the two so far have been very interesting. The schoolhouse and the fishing boat are great additions. Having lived near the Midway schoolhouse for more than twenty years we were so happy when we found out that it would have a new life at the museum. Great job!
The staff is welcoming and enthusiastic and we look forward to many more shows. A great place to come with friends and family. Finally a place to take out of town visitors!

The staff welcomed two different shows that I am involved with so both groups that will be showing art this year and next are very happy with the museum and its spirit of community.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would have a small cafe and garden in the "courtyard" by the school and fishing boat. It would be lovely to sit there with a latte and a view of the water and boats. Also, I would have one day a month free to visitors which would be inviting to those who never not think about going to a museum.
