I first became aware of the Alliance Against Seclusion & Restraint on Social Media when I saw their poignant posts about supporting educators in developing practices based on current neuroscience. I then joined a book study and loved the community of volunteers and participants so much, I joined as a volunteer! Guy Stephens, Courtney, and the volunteers have supported my family through recovery after school restraints and helped us to develop advocacy skills.
