I was gifted a NBCF survivor box during my own journey of dealing with a DCIS diagnosis which was followed shortly after with a double mastectomy. Much great information I have learned particularly when I was working through what my “ideal” surgery was going to be. The box I received was wonderfully thoughtful, and each item in there was important for various reasons. I mostly enjoyed reading the note form another survivor that it encouraged me to become a note writer by default since I didn’t live near Frisco for on site volunteering. I am grateful for the NBCF organization and am impressed at how much they give back to our communities.
