Review for Save A Forgotten Equine, Redmond, WA, USA
SAFE has really been a great place to volunteer so far. Everyone gives all the horses the love and kindness that they deserve. It's just amazing how far some of these horses have come both physically and mentally. One horse in particular, came in all skin and bone and depressed. I've only seen pictures of her back then because I wasn't here when she first came, but now she is just beautiful and has such a spunky flirty personality. She performs now in shows and gets great training! I just love what they are doing, helping these horses that were once forgotten, they are now loved and cared for by the people at SAFE. I also believe they are fair in their adoptions. Not too strict, but also have reference and property checks. Therefore, horses WILL find great new forever homes :)
They have given me the oppurtunity to help and care for these horses, just showing them love and affection I think helps a lot.

Personally, it touches my heart. I am strongly attatched to horses, and seeing them suffering like some of the ones they are rebahilitating just breaks my heart. Helping these horses is personally fulfilling, as well as knowing we are helping these horses get their forever homes. No more neglect, or abuse.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only thing I would change is bring in some hot water. So we could still bathe these horses in winter. But there are only so many fancy things you can afford running a rescue.
