ESFL is an amazing non profit that provides immeasurable benefit to individuals who have lost both hands (or more). Imagine living your life without any hands! This is a unique subset of the limb loss/limb difference community who are extremely underserved in our healthcare industry. This nonprofit has made it a mission to educate and support these individuals, their families, caregivers, and our healthcare providers. The nonprofit serves individuals in the US as well as abroad. With the help of this nonprofit, those living without their hands/arms have found community, support, friendship, education, and even new purpose. The members are engaging and helpful. They impact the community with exciting fundraising opportunities, help support a you tube channel and other social media outlets. I began attending the conference in 2015. As a nurse case manager and life care planner, I can honestly say this organization has greatly contributed to my education on the upper limb loss community. I highly recommend Enhancing Skills For Life.
