Kyle and Sean are amazing. I first met them when we volunteered for the same animal rescue. When they moved out of state, I followed their journey of buying the farm and starting Mareworthy. Through the years I have gotten to witness their farm not only grow, but thrive. You can tell that horses are Kyles passion, and he shares that passion in ways that non-horse people can understand. And while Sean may not have started out a horse person, he has definitely taken on the roll as horse husband and he is fabulous with them. I have been to the farm and seen first hand how spoiled the “ladies” are. They get the best vet care imaginable, not just the bare minimum to keep them alive. They don’t spare any expense to make sure that they are cared for and treated for any ailments that they may encounter. They are very transparent with the costs associated to rescuing mares from kill pens , getting them fully vetted, providing them with high quality hay and treats and all the other things they do. It’s nice having a non-profit be so open and honest about how they run. They have a very active Facebook following, and their posts are honestly the highlight of my day. The world needs more sanctuaries like them. The picture I am sharing is me with Worthy of Wings…the horse that started it all.
