While I have always loved elephants and known about the Elephant Sanctuary for years, it had always been a dream of mine to one day be able to visit the facility. It has been an honor to have been chosen to volunteer at this facility The caregivers are absolutely amazing- you know that they are there strictly for the enhancement and care of these magnificent creatures. The elephants are living their best lives! They are in an atmosphere of peace and relaxation, free to do things on their terms in a way. Only positive encouragement and loving care. The staff knows the elephant's individual personalities and are passionate about them.
