My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Friends of the Catholic Diocese of Tororo Uganda East Africa, Bedford, NY, USA
Friends has great ideas and projects but needs more manpower and funds to be more effective to reach more people and save more lives. It is brilliant what they do accomplish with very little funds. They have a great network of locations in their region and talented people. Various important projects underway urgently need funding such as, hiring of midwives to help in rural areas to cover to reduce maternal and neonatal deaths. Funding for medicines in clinics. Funding for a school for orphans incl. grade school for college bound and vocational school.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Such that I went for a week to Uganda in the year 2000 and I have been inspired to help them ever since. My heart jumps at every chance to help them.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Very talented, multifaceted, humble, warm, friendly, welcoming!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
$10,000,000 could supply the Tororo region's approx. 1.5 million people with all of: 300 wells that will supply much needed clean water to save/increase quality of life, 2 school campuses (K-12 + vocational), 30 health clinics, and two 150-bed hospitals!
Ways to make it better...
The lines of communication were easier. Sometimes it takes a while to get a reply.
