When I moved to Pittsburgh from New York City one of the first things I did was search for radio stations I might enjoy. At the time, in 1993, there were quite a few stations I liked, among them, WQED; WDUQ; and WYEP. It was on WYEP that I found THE SATURDAY LIGHT BRIGADE. It was so different from other radio programs with its mix of music, guests, and games. I was hooked. THE SATURDAY LIGHT BRIGADE provided a community that helped me settle in to my new city. For me it is appointment radio. It truly is "The show that gets your weekend off to a good start." I once submitted a new slogan, "A Saturday without THE SATURDAY LIGHT BRIGADE is just a sadder day,"
