1. These folks spare no effort to get useable items out to the floor so that customers have the broadest range of fashion and functionality available for selection at prices that are affordable. There is a critical need in this economy for the type of service this thrift store offers. The spectrum of human experience both in "nesting" (maintaining a nice environment in one's living spaces) and the need to be covered with good clothing is supported in all the store offers.
2. Beyond their own selling of donated goods, they also pass on to locate charities those items that support the needs of the local community. Throughout the year they donate mobility equipment to a downtown charity (disAbility Resource Center).
3. Overall, the whole system of receiving, selling, providing volunteer opportunities, distribution of needed items to local charities, AND ultimately financing Rikki's Refuge is a testimony to their business title -- Life UNLIMITED of Virginia, Inc. They live up to their name.
4. Full disclosure -- The selection box requires a "role." While I am a volunteer, I have also been served by the organization prior to becoming a volunteer. I have seen first hand the good that happens every day as workers and volunteers interact with the public and demonstrate good service.
