College of Adaptive Arts (CAA) is a utopia in the sometimes harsh world. It's goal is to provide educational opportunities for adults with special needs. It accomplishes that goal daily, but in doing so accomplishes so much more.

My daughter attends there and also works for them as an associate professor. She loves her classes and describes the school as a fun place. She loves to perform and the school provides many chances for that whether it's singing while her dad plays guitar or performing with the school's cheerleading class. The school provides many opportunities for my daughter to explore this part of her life.

CAA also nurtures my daughter's confidence. She got the idea to start a club at the school, and the idea was met with positivity and acceptance. The club became a reality, and it's now a class that the school offers. Because of CAA, she got to see an idea she had come to fruition. Few things build confidence more than that.

The students are close with one another and have created a community of their own. They have their very own place to belong and their very own place to learn. If you have the chance, you should go visit them. I guarantee you'll leave with a smile.
