Ever since my early childhood I have enjoyed crafts of all kinds. As time went on, I became fond of all needle arts and quilting. I have never thought of myself as an artist, and I certainly can’t draw! Those activities always brought me a sense of peace and happiness. It was when I discovered mixed media (paint, etc.) and collage that a whole new world opened up for me. Being able to immerse myself during good and tough times brough me a sense of calm and happiness. I could take a deep breath and create, forgetting anxiety and stress.

When I heard about art4healing I was intrigued. I explored a few programs and was amazed at how these brief experiences allowed me to express thoughts and emotions that I had long held back.

The process is a simple one and you don’t need to be an artist. Just challenge your heart to speak through colors, shapes and movement with just a few paints, a small sponge and a qtip!

I am a believer, and now delighted that I can participate as a substitute facilitator! art4healing is an process!
