NICA has provided a niche for the kids that don't really fit into other sports. So many parents tell me they wish NICA was around when they were in school. Also, I have seen girls and boys grow in confidence and heal from prior experiences in sports. The community created at races and on teams astounds most parents who witness it for the first time. Finally, I have been so grateful to have a positive place by which I can translate all the hours I spent on myself for racing to spending time working with kids and sharing the incredible sport of mountain biking.
