I have never been able to visit the centr.. I have attended webinars. Though I have never seen a wild wolf, I have great respect for wolf community life and the need for them as apex predators to keep the the enviorment healthy The wolf is intelligent and just plain beautiful. Certainaly, as top predators we need to learn to live with wolves and all of earth's creatures. A balanced environment is based on all the creatures that inhabit it, not just humans. The International Wolf Center works diligently to educate people about the need to protect wolves worldwide.

Apopo is making a significant contribution to helping people to live and work where they have land. They give safety that allows chidren to roam free and go to school without worrying about becoming a land mine casualty. They utilize Hero rats and dogs to provide safety to people whose lives are restricted by land mines.
