I had heard stories of rats being used in mine detection but I had no idea APOPO existed, or that they and canines were being used to detect disease and traffic led animal products.

Their organization is doing vital and humanitarian work in areas ravaged by war and poverty. I am a proud sponsor of a HEROrat and I urge everyone to give to this fantastic organization.
