I've had 8 German Shepherd Dogs since I was about 5 or 6 years old. I'm now 62. I used to buy my dogs from breeders, but after my first dog from GSROC (German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County), I began to evolve and will only adopt dogs that need a home. Since 2000, I have been adopted (or should I say I've been rescued) by 3 German Shepherds through GSROC . When I first visited an adoption event, I met several of the volunteers and saw how well the dogs were taken care of by their foster parents. I adopted my first GSROC dog that day. 10 years later, I adopted my next GSD and 8 years later I adopted my current GSD. If you want a dog who has been well taken care of when fostered, has received some training and are looking to be matched up with a good companion, I would highly recommend GSROC.
