This was the first retreat that I attended. The four days that I was there, I participated in sessions with veterans who were experiencing some of the same things that I was. We had in-depth discussions focused on ways to overcome these traumas. In addition, we participated in team building activities which focused on improving self esteem. The retreat, fully funded by Gratitude America, has helped me focus on areas in my life, that needs improvement. I am forever grateful for the advice, encouragement and support the team, as well as, my fellow veterans have given me.
