Review for Cambodian Children's Fund, Santa Monica, CA, USA
I have supported CCF for many years since 2010 by donating as a child sponsor. More recently we secured a grant to support the Neeson Crips Academy that has been set up to teach senior level children STEM education skills that Cambodia, so desperately needs.
More recently, I was extremely lucky to attend the 20th anniversary celebrations at CCF and to see the amazing work they do firsthand as well as meeting my Sponsor child.
To say that I was overwhelmed and amazed by what I saw would be an understatement. The work that CCF do with the money that they have is incredible. We spent time with smaller children who were so happy to show us the work that they had completed and to chat to us using the English that they have learnt, as well as senior level children who were showcasing their pre-university level education. All of these children were incredibly happy, looked very well cared for, and most importantly, we’re looking forward to the future. They had ambitions to be pilots, Doctors, nurses, teachers, work in Finance, and many more careers in mind.
If you are looking for a charity, with strong governance, in Cambodia, CCF is a great option. We have a strong relationship with our sponsor child through emails and Skype calls as well as great updates on how the grant has been used. Board members are well qualified with great experience and highly engaged.
None of this would’ve been possible without the support of CCF and the amazing work of Scott Neeson and his team. I think they are all incredible people whose care for these children and families is outstanding. It’s a privilege to be involved even in a small way.
