When I received my breast cancer diagnosis, I entered a very dark place. The thought of being amputated and losing a part of my identity was incomprehensible. I was inconsolable. My breast surgeon quickly told me about reconstruction options and mentioned DIEP. I didn't know that there was an option to use my own tissue so I was intrigued. Thanks to Terri and DiepC's Facebook page, I received all the information I needed to make the best decision for myself. I went into this very challenging surgery fully prepared for the long recovery and aware of the potential hurdles. I continue to trust in Terri's recommendations and continue to learn from her vlogs. The supportive online community she has built has been a light that has helped me climb out of my dark place. Thank you so much, Terri.
