Turpentine Creek is a wonderful sanctuary for “big cats” and other wild life that have undergone inappropriate attempts at socialization when young. As the “pets” grew to adulthood, their owners realize they cannot handle them anymore. Turpentine Creek rescues these animals who are unable to survive in the wild. They also rescue wild animals who have been exploited as side shows who did not receive appropriate care. These lions, tigers, bears, and others live their best life at the sanctuary. The staff exhibit diligence in caring for them and providing excellent habitats, good food, recreational activities!
