I first heard about Mickaboo about 10 years ago. A friend of mine was fostering a blue crown conure for them named Rico. She had already had a long life, after being dropped off at the San Francisco shelter,, but she had a twinkle in her eye non cataract eye that I just fell head over heels for. She came home and I was able to spend 10 amazing years with her. What Mickaboo does for these incredible birds is remarkable. The education, support and caring volunteers who give these animals a second, third, seventh chance is priceless.
