Last year I read to two kindergarten classes. I love walking into the room and having the kids great me saying "The reader's here. The reader's here." Their school was on a trip to the zoo - a place I also volunteer. They saw me at the zoo and mobbed with the same refrain: The reader's here! It is so rewarding to engage these kids in great kids books.
