I collaborated with Free2Luv and a nearby middle school to introduce EXPRESS IT to a group of 7th graders who were military-connected youth. Going into this, I didn't have specific expectations, but I was delighted by how responsive and engaged the students were. This program provided a safe environment for them to express themselves authentically and discuss challenging emotions and subjects. Witnessing their connections and personal growth over the six weeks will forever be a cherished memory for me.
