I have been a board member for only a short time, but my admiration for this organization is more than 20 years old at this point. MTWichita's Broadway calibur productions (usually only found in NYC or first national tours ) rise out of the plains like an oasis in the desert. It is more than a place that produces musicals; it is an educational instituion training tomorrow's Broadway talent. Students from the best collegiate theatre programs vie to spend their summers in Wichita and work with Broadway professionals to create and learn. If you are anywhere remotely close to Wichita (or not) make a trip to see a show and your first visit to MTWichita will make you devoted fan too!
