While attending an ATOU workshop, I was so impressed by the 4th and 5th graders attention, curiosity and involvement in the hands-on activities designed to build compassion and understanding for those who are different from them. Exercises that help portray what it’s like for others was also very enlightening for me! ATOU’s program is invaluable in teaching youth (and not so young!) compassion for others with different abilities.
