NPEF's Bus for a Cause allowed the funding for a bus, which enabled us to take some of our chemistry students to a statewide competition at URI. Our students were also give a tour of parts of the campus (chemistry building & pharmacy building) and were able to interact with current URI students and professors in a small setting. Also, one of our Rogers High School students came in 2nd place in the competition, beating out hundreds of other students! This would not have been possible without the support from NPEF!

NPEF helps support the students at Rogers High School through fulfilling teacher requests for supplemental funding. They have been incredibly generous when I have asked for additional supplies to enhance the annual RHS Science & Engineering Fair. In years past I have received additional materials students can use to run experiments, such as vitamin C kits, soil moisture meters, water quality testing kits, etc. This year they supplied the over 150 students with various materials to create appealing backboards by supporting the purchase of high quality paper, adhesive, lettering, etc. The backboards looked the best they have ever looked! We are lucky to have NPEF as a supporter of Newport Public Schools!
