Hi, my name is Saanvi and I'm a 10th grader in California. I started volunteering for the African Library Project (ALP) about two years ago. I believe that books can help individuals grow by giving them a gateway to knowledge and imagination. The goal of the African Library Project is to send books to different schools in Africa, where students don't have much access to books. By this project, we can make a difference in the lives of the students in Africa by giving them the opportunity to grow and learn.

I joined this program because I read a lot and I understood how books played an important role in shaping me as a person. I believe that books should be accessible to students around the world because they provide a wealth of information on various subjects and improve critical thinking skills.

This program's goal is to help students in Africa gain access to books. Helping children gain access to these books and giving them the opportunity to have a proper education brings me so much joy. I have to thank Mrs. Sunitha Boppudi for giving me the opportunity to participate in this project.
