Review for Bambis Army - Rescue Of K9s Bark, Parlier, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I would write a review about my experience with them as a "client served" if I was ever served by them. You'd get a faster response back from the dead and have a more constructive conversation with your own echo. They sent me a link to a form, which was poorly designed, to fill out. I filled it out and then waited. About a week later, I asked for an update, they asked what name it was under, I gave them my name, and then I never heard back.

Review for Norcal Poodle Rescue, Grass Valley, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Their vetting process was thorough, their form was easy to understand, and the staff member I was put in communication with was polite and competent. My search for a poodle has been put on hold due to an unfortunate incident that has changed my job needs in my dogs, but once I'm ready to resume my search, I'll be using them.

Review for Pinky Paws Search & ResQ, Selma, CA, USA

Edit: these people met my challenge and changed. This is not an ability I see often. Good on them for being willing to learn.

Old review: These people are more concerned about their dogs going to homes with a fence than homes where they are safe. I live on five acres of land, and the nearest road to my house is not a through road. It gets, on average, one car every two hours. My dogs are far safer than animals that live in crowded suburbs with dozens of cars zipping by every hour, only protected by four feet of wood and metal. My miniature poodle jumped over bigger fences for fun. But because I don't have a fence, my house isn't considered safe. I'm not alone in my assessments. Most of my neighbors also have dogs, and none of us have fences suitable for keeping dogs in.
Every other dog rescue I've ever worked with had fences as a preference and not a requirement. I've been able to adopt and safely care for five dogs that all lived into their teens without a fence, and my current five-month-old has never once run off nor ever been in danger of being hit by a car simply because I trained her to recognize her territory.
I challenge these people to do better. Leave your urban city and come up here to my village. See that there are other ways of life that a dog can safely lead.
