LFT identifies abuse and the horrible conditions in which animals are exposed to and must live. Their work makes abusers accountable and there are efforts to protect the safety and well being of animals (especially small domesticated animals. People, society in general, and those individuals in law enforcement need to remember these small animals (like babies with humans) are just beginning their lives, are harmless, defenseless, and look to people to treat them fairly and kindly. If small (domesticated) animals in particular are treated nicely when they are young, they will respond to people accordingly and the reverse is true.
