Review for Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society, Gig Harbor, WA, USA
I visited the museum before it opened, on opening day and twice since. Each time it was staffed by enthusiastic and knowledgeable employees and volunteers who took pride in explaining the displays and all aspects of the facility. The hands-on displays are fun for kids as well as adults. One leaves with a better understanding of how Gig Harbor was settled by Native as well as European people, how they lived, and how the maritime economy works. I take all my out-of-town guests there to learn about my new hometown.
