This organization focuses on alleviating consequences of poverty for children and adults in the greater Kansas City area. My favorite experience as a volunteer in this organization is providing new clothes to school-age children. Many of these children have never experienced picking out their own new clothes “with tags on them.” They are thrilled when they leave with a bag of new loathes an are so excited to wear them to school.
